The ICOpro Instructor 1 certification is one of the most sought-after for canyoning professionals worldwide. As an ICOpro Instructor 1, you are able to competently lead the ICOpro Canyoning Initiation courses, as well as learning the right skills to manage an ICOpro Affiliated center as a Head Managing Instructor. With strong focus on the pedagogical and psychological aspect of the activity, the ICTC/IN1 will also increase your analytical awareness, which will certainly change your way of teaching and guiding.
The ICOpro IN1 course also allows you to work as an ICOpro Independent Affiliated Instructor worldwide. Work with your passion anywhere in the world!

Instructor Level 1 course content:
- Have a validated ICOpro AIN level minimum or have attended the ICOpro IVS – International Validation of Skills
- Have a minimum of 3 months work experience as an ICOpro Assistant Instructor in a canyoning center or with an IAI (mandatory employer’s certificate).
- Have completed the IN1 e-learning pre-training course.
- Be in good mental and physical condition.
- Swimming: 100m and running: 1km
- Medical certificate issued less than three months prior to the training course, testifying that you are physically and mentally fit for canyoning activities.
- Have a valid first-aid certificate issued less than twelve months prior to the training course.
- Pass successfully the « ICOpro IN1 test of conversion » on double rope (free choice of technique) in a time less than or equal to 1,5x the Examiner’s time. Test standard: 5m high, knot in the middle of the rope.
Ascent → Passing a knot → Conversion → Descent → Passing a knot. Or
Descent → Passing a knot → Conversion → Ascent → Passing a knot
!!! The candidate will not attend the training if the test is not successful and no refunds will be given !!! - Pass successfully the « ICOpro IN1 Rescue Scenario Test » Unhook a victim conscious from below to below in a time less than or equal to 1,5x the Examiner’s time.

- Have all the required skills to teach an ICOpro Canyoneer Initiation training course. You will master the management of a group and optimize the progression techniques while descending a canyon and leading your ICOpro Assistant Instructor and clients. You will also manage the equipment stock and become a Head Manager of an ICOpro Affiliated Center (HMI).
The training course consists in 5 technical and theoretical teaching modules, including risk analysis and evaluation (P.A.R.) as well as aptitude memory exercises (Feedback) that will be carried-out during the training and 4 Clinic Days of revision and regulation.
